Interested in seeing a film? Films featured on Bluescreen are part of the Global Lens touring film series, sponsored by The Global Film Initiative. Check below to learn how you can see them in theaters, at school or on home video!

Designated educational films in the current touring series, Global Lens 2009, can be seen in theaters in the United States and Canada.

Check our calendar to find where these and other Global Lens 2009 films are playing.

Would you like to bring Global Lens films to your school, college or university? Here are two additional ways to get involved:

World Cinema Week (WCW): Global Film Initiative's first ever World Cinema Week is scheduled to take place April 19th — 25th. Schools, colleges, universities and libraries are invited to host Global Lens films on–campus as part of a collaborative effort to expand understanding of global culture through the language of cinema.

International Education Week (IEW): Kick–off the academic year by hosting Global Lens at your school during IEW! Showcase unique films from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East and join a nationwide network of schools and institutions bringing world cinema to audiences this Fall (specific dates to be announced by the U.S. Department of Education).

To find out more about participating in World Cinema Week or International Education Week email us at education@globalfilm.org!

Films not in the current touring series can be rented from your local library or video store, or purchased directly from First Run Features and other online sales-outlets.

What if films from the current series are not playing in my area? Good question. Send us an email and we'll tell you what you need to do to schedule a special film screening in your area.
