What Your Money Does

Donations play an important role in supporting the Global Film Initiative's mission and programs. Since 2002, the Initiative's four programs have contributed to the growth and development of filmmaking industries worldwide; presented free educational film screenings to thousand of students in the United States; and introduced audiences to remarkable stories and cinematic perspectives from every corner of the world. Each program represents a unique dimension of the Initiative's mission to promote cross-cultural understanding through cinema, and your donations support this endeavor.

Matching Donations — Increase the Impact of Your Contribution

Thousands of companies have Matching Gift Programs that will double, or even triple, individual tax-deductible contributions made by their employees. Corporate Sponsors

The Global Film Initiative invites corporate sponsors to support the continued expansion of its mission and programs. There are a number of ways to provide support, including targeted funding for Education program initiatives in the United States; filmmaker support in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East; and sponsorship of regional screenings of the Global Lens film series. Privacy Policy

The Global Film Initiative is the sole owner of the information collected on this site, and we maintain the privacy of our supporters through various technical means of protection. Although we do make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with an appropriate law enforcement investigation, current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process.

Please note, however, that all information collected by our donation page and anywhere on our website is completely confidential and used only for its represented purpose. In order to make a donation on our website, a user must first complete a donation form, on which the user must provide contact information and financial information (i.e. credit card number and expiration date). This information is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling a donation and providing donation receipts. If we have trouble processing an order or donation, this contact information can also be used to get in touch with the user.

Also note that the Global Film Initiative takes every precaution to protect user information. When you submit sensitive information through our donation page, your information is protected online through SSL encryption technology; while on a SSL-secured page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer will become locked to indicate active security.

Similarly, while we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All information provided by a user to the Global Film Initiative, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices, and any information we may collect is kept on a server in a secure environment.
