Before the Bosnian war ravaged their lives, Safija became pregnant by Slavo, a Christian man. Beaten and ostracized by her muslim family, Safija gave the infant boy to the childless Halima to raise, telling Slavo it was stillborn… In order to recover the body of the young man, lost during the war in Bosnia, a grieving, Muslim woman, Halima, must track down her estranged niece to
convince her to submit to a blood test for DNA identification of that boy.
